Blast of Color
Have you ever really looked closely at an echinacea flower? Such a blast of vibrant color! The bee was quite happy. Well, I imagine the bee was quite happy.

We're Cool
I had been quietly wandering the farm to take photos when I unintentionally spooked the pigs. Did you know they can jump? One even did a back flip! But as soon as they realized all was well, they squared their shoulders and looked at me as if you say, “you saw nothing…all cool here.”

Carrot seed in the making.

Summer Farm Work
Without bees and water, there would be very little food. Trying to keep crops irrigated during the summer heat is tricky but the bees love the effort as well, as one of their favorite flowers needs water just like the squash and peppers do.

The Valley Wakes Up
Such a beautiful morning.

Green Pop
Maybe it’s the grey backdrop of the clouds, but this green pops so loudly!

The Magic of Sunshine
After months of clouds, sunshine shows us new designs.

What To Do
OK, technically, these are weed seeds. But they are so beautiful…what to do? Ahhh. Take a photo!

The Chick Spa
Our Sun-Glo greenhouse makes a cushy brood house for chicks until they are big enough to out into the chicken tractors.

RED
These tomatoes are almost, almost too beautiful to eat.

Changing Beauty
I love the way texture takes over when color fades!

Light Reaching for Light
Never call a Calendula a “common” flower…look at how the light from within it reaches for the sun!

Look a Little Closer
Not just pinecones…

The Reason for Mud
Without mud, no lotus. Isn’t this a beautiful form of hide and seek?

All About The Light
Food is in large part edible sunlight…energy made available to us thanks to a thin layer of soil (and all the life that churns in it), the mysterious hocus-pocus of seed, and the magic of photosynthesis. Sometimes, the light is more electric than others. Look at this bee!
